This is open letter to all officers who are or are to be responsible for crimes against lives.We say that the residents are responsible for building collapse .Though this seems correct ,yet do we don't know that officers are also responsible.I stay at gokul accord co-op hsg society ,thakur complex kandivali east . Ninety percent people have done renovation or changes .Most of the people have demolished the wall and taken open space of grill parapet inside and built new wall.These different kind of breaking .hammering makes building weak.The managing committee are mere spec tors.Even complaints have no effect. Five years back we had spent rs 25 lacks to repair our buildings .Again yesterday they have passed a resolution that each member will have to contribute rs16 thousand for repair .The question is who makes building weak?We had done structural audit which shows that more than 90 percent people have changed the layout of flats compared to original plan passed by building department .No committee member or officer bearer has taken any action. Now I appeal to Municipal Commissioner to get each and every flat checked .If there is any changes the same flat owner should be fined and new assessment charged .This will help corporation with money and others will not dare to do these things
